What courses can I take while I’m exploring majors?

As an exploratory student at IU, you can have a great class schedule that will help you explore majors, keep your options open, and keep you on track to graduate on time. You can take introductory courses in majors you want to explore, IUB General Education courses that keep you options open (English Composition, Math, Arts and Humanities, Social and Historical Studies, Natural and Mathematical Science, and World Languages and Cultures), and elective courses (dance, music ensembles, bowling, study skill classes are examples). The introductory courses for many IUB majors will also count under the IUB General Education requirements. Your University Division academic advisor will help you choose courses that will allow you to explore and make degree progress.
