The Journal of Academic Advising is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal founded at Indiana University in 2018. It is a forum for academic advisors and advising directors to publish their research on all facets of academic advising.
The Journal of Academic Advising values the multidisciplinary approach advisors bring into their daily practice with students.
Such multidisciplinarity is enshrined in our mission to:
- encourage interdisciplinary inquiry methods and theories in the field of academic advising,
- promote the exchange of humanistic inquiry as it relates to advising, and
- facilitate collaboration between advising staff and faculty.
