Academic Support Centers (ASCs) at Briscoe, Forest, and Teter Residence Halls facilitate group and individual tutorials, study groups and study tables, and offer academic advising and workshops on study skills.
The Adaptive Technology Center (ATC) serves individuals with disabilities and specializes in assistive technologies that help with reading, writing, studying, and information access.
The Office of Mentoring Services & Leadership (OMSLD) provides mentoring services and initiatives to support student success, with special emphasis on students from under-represented and/or underserved populations.
Tutoring is available on campus; in addition to the listings below, always check the website of individual departments to see if tutoring or a list of tutors is available.
- Academic Support Centers (ASCs) provide tutoring for introductory African languages, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Communication & Culture, and Math courses, as well as writing assistance from Writing Tutorial Services.
- The Department of Biology provides a list of tutors (http://www.bio.indiana.edu/undergrad/tutors/index.html) for Biology classes.
- The Department of Chemistry offers free tutoring spring and fall semesters. For information, see the Chemistry undergraduate newsletter and click on the tutoring tab.
- IU Economics Tutoring lists available tutors for ECON-E201, ECON-E202, and ECON-E370.
- Math Learning Center offers assistance with preparatory and introductory math courses.
- Writing Tutorial Services provides walk-in and scheduled appointments to assist students at any stage of the writing process.
